The Story
The construction of the 345 Sylvan Street apartment complex is a pivotal project under the Government of Canada’s Rapid Housing Initiative (RHI), aimed at quickly providing permanent affordable housing for those in need. Managed by Matlock Constructions, with an expansion, this development is set to offer 42 units of comfortable living space designed to support vulnerable populations.
Construction Scope:
Building a 42-unit apartment complex with a mix of one-bedroom, two-bedroom, and bachelor suites.
Developing a parking area to accommodate 21 vehicles and providing 32 secure bicycle parking spaces.
Constructing an additional accessory structure within the front yard of the building complex.
Performed comprehensive design document reviews at critical design stages to ensure cross-discipline coordination and minimize changes during the construction phase.
